KISSING CROCODILE
While I was visiting my client, she took me to the Frankfurt Zoo with her granddaughter. Passing the crocodiles, the four year old asked her grandmother how Crocodiles were making babies. I saw that my client was struggling answering, as she might have to justify her biology explanation to the child’s parents, in particular her own daughter. So I thought, I give it a try and I said “first the crocodiles smile to each other, and if they get along, they start kissing intensively to make babies…” This story still makes me laugh as I had no idea of how crocodiles procreate - and the smiling and kissing aspect made me design ferocious animals in the kindest possible way, in all shades of brown diamonds.
