When Henri J. Sillam first cast his eyes on this unique Baroque pearl, his first thought was that of a swan. The iridescence and form of the pearl inspired him to sketch an elegant swan, but one with the characteristics of being in motion. Artistry coupled with a knowledge of fine metals, enables Henri to incorporate fine details that give the piece a life like quality.
The design was then given to his master craftsman who worked on producing the wax mold from which the eventual setting would be cast.
Then came the painstaking task of producing the setting in white gold and setting the 794 black and white diamonds in their respective places. It is at this point that the mastery and skill that exemplifies the art of Sillam becomes apparent.
Finally after 110 hours, the finished piece, a brooch of a swan in motion both at once delicate and beautifully glamorous.
